We can’t believe it’s already February. it’s been such a busy start to our year. We’ve been filming for some our favourite clients across the UK, delivering 3 animations and squeezing in a trip to the Caribbean (yes, it was work!). Oh, and we’ve settled in to our supercool new offices in Shoreditch.
This week sculptor Conrad Shawcross unveiled his biggest project to date on the Greenwich Peninsula in South-East London.
We were thrilled to produce a film about this incredible piece of architecture with Pentagram director Marina Willer.
WE’VE WOVEN TOGETHER A BEAUTIFUL FILM FOR GAINSBOROUGH.
Gainsborough are Royal Warrant awarded weavers who’ve been making fabrics of distinction since 1903.
Managing Director Emerson Roberts asked us to create a film that tells their story and showcases what they do – which is designing and weaving stunning materials for palaces, leading fashion designers and luxury car manufacturers.
We had a fascinating shoot day at their workhouse which is occupied by magnificent hand-built looms, operated by some of the world’s most highly-skilled weavers.
Take a look at the film and enjoy a peek inside what is essentially a working museum.
Whoever said Britain doesn’t make anything anymore?!
When Virgin Media refreshed their corporate website recently, they asked us to help tell their story. And here is the result, a lovely little animation that explains what they do and how they help people do more, be more and have more fun.
We’re delighted to hear that Chris Beardshaw has won his sixth gold at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show for his creation, The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital. We’ve been fortunately enough to work with Chris on several occasions and recently made a series of films following the story behind this very special garden. There can surely be no better permanent home for his latest creation than the roof of Great Ormond Street Hospital where it will provide a much needed sanctuary for families of children there. But as we found out during filming, dismantling it and moving it there is going to be an even bigger challenge than getting it ready for Chelsea.
Good luck Chris, we know you’ll do it and provide more golden moments for some people who couldn’t deserve it more.
We recently visited Harvard University to film the winners of last year’s prestigious Bertarelli Prize which recognises and incubates an innovative idea with huge potential in the field of Life Sciences.
The recipients, LuminOa, are a team of BioTechnologists who have developed a radical new way of screening the eggs and embryos used in IVF treatment which could increase success rates for IVF couples, reduce the heartache of failed pregnancies and make the process far more cost-effective and accessible.
We’re a business run by a woman. Over half of our employees are female. And at least one of the men in our office claims to be a feminist. So we’re really proud to have produced a series of films for Virgin Money about opportunities for women in the financial services sector.
Last year The Government invited the challenger bank’s trail-blazing boss, Jayne-Anne Gadhia, to produce a report investigating the lack of senior women in the financial services industry and, critically, what could be done about it.
3,500 interviews later and the Gadhia Review is out revealing ten core findings and three recommendations for businesses, with enlightening insights that will have an impact far beyond the towers of finance.
Our films capture the reaction to the report from some of the industry’s leading female figures, including Jayne-Anne herself.
Craft lager pioneers Freedom Brewery asked us to make a film about what they do. Probably because they like their films like their lager – lovingly made, easy to consume and with no bitter after-taste! Sit back, crack open a cold one and enjoy the film on the link below.
What a start to the year that’s been! It’s almost Valentine’s Day and we’ve already partnered with LinkedIn, Morgan Stanley, Virgin Media, Freedom Brewery and are currently shooting at Harvard Business School, Massachusetts.
And to prove we can do serious business and the fun stuff, here’s a still from a music video we made for LinkedIn’s annual sales conference. We had great fun making this internal film but if you want to see it, you’ll have to get a job there.
Exciting news! We won ‘Best Digital/Online Business’ in the national final of the HSBC sponsored Forward Ladies Awards 2015. Thanks to all the incredibly talented people we work with and our fantastic clients.
