The Clarions celebrate excellence across cause driven film and we were delighted to receive the top award in the Brand communication category for our work with Macmillan Cancer Support. This film was written and produced by us to attract people to Macmillan, where they really do #MakeEveryDayCount.

You can watch the film here.

Shortlisted

We are delighted to be nominated at the New York Festivals TV & Film awards for our work with CVS Health. The shortlisted work is an ambitious series of films shot all over the USA to show how thousands of colleagues across the CVS enterprise are putting their ‘Heart at work’ behaviours into practice every day. The awards are announced in April – so fingers crossed!

Brand Film Awards 2023

When celebrated English wine makers Gusbourne released their most exclusive vintage wine to date, they asked us to create the launch film. Named after the precise latitude of the vineyards, 51 Degrees North is a wonderful expression of a time and place.

We are delighted that the work has been shortlisted at the prestigious Brand Film Awards. We are up against some great competition, with fantastic films for Virgin Atlantic and Amazon in the mix. Wish us luck!

Macmillan Cancer Support

At Macmillan you’ll find talented people working together to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer – which is why recruiting the right people across their organisation is crucial. So when they asked us to create a film that would help them do that, we spent time getting to know their culture, colleagues and roles, before developing our creative proposition ‘Make every day count’, something that Macmillan’s people do whole heartedly.

You can watch the film here: Make every day count

CORP COMMS WINNERS

Delighted to share that Accenture’s UK flagship series Tomorrow, Today won ‘Best use of Content’ at the Corp Comms Awards 2022. Hosted by the talented Oli Barrett MBE, we helped develop, produce and direct this long running series that explores themes critical to the future success of organisations.

EVCOM FILM AWARDS 2022

We’ve just picked up three prestigious awards at the EVCOM London Film Awards. It made for an exciting evening for us and our partners Lamborghini and Virgin Media O2.

We picked up a Gold for film direction with Lamborghini and a Silver and Bronze with Virgin Media O2 (in partnership with Carers UK) in the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ and ‘Best use of a Smaller Budget’ categories.

A big team effort with some fantastic clients – onwards to next year!

51 DEGREES NORTH

Celebrated English wine makers Gusbourne have released their most exclusive vintage wine to date, and it’s a truly wonderful expression of a time and place.

To help launch 51 Degrees North, named after the precise latitude of the vineyards, our team worked closely with Gusbourne to produce this film.

Visit gusbourne.com to find out more about a wine that the Telegraph’s Victoria Moore described as “a very good wine indeed.”

And you can watch our film here: 51 Degrees North

NEW CLIENTS

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with CVS Health. Over the coming months we will be helping CVS shape and produce content that brings their purpose to life for all their colleagues and new recruits. And with over 300,000 colleagues across 50 states, we have a big job and can’t wait to get started!

NEW ANYDAY SERIES FOR JOHN LEWIS & PARTNERS

There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a room transform before your very eyes. Especially when that transformation happens in just eight hours! We joined design stylist Will Law and senior editor & host Holly Rains as they helped transform beauty journalist Laura Capon’s childhood bedroom into a multi-functioning space that is designed for work, rest and most importantly, getting a good night’s sleep. This is the first in a series of make over shows that we have created and produced for John Lewis & Partners to celebrate their ANYDAY range and we can’t wait to share more! You can read more about the transformation and watch the first film here.

GETTING GREEN ON SCREEN

At TMM, we’ve always cared about the environment. And we’re always looking for new ways to lessen our impact on it. So, recently we’ve joined AdGreen, a brilliant organisation that helps agencies and their clients ensure productions are more sustainable.

We’ve been undertaking specialist sustainable production training and getting to grips with various resources and tools so that where we have an opportunity to, we can help our clients reduce the negative impact of production.

To find out how we can make what goes on screen more green give us a call. Or, to find out more about AdGreen visit weareadgreen.org

AWARD NOMINATIONS

Our film for Virgin Media O2 and Carers UK has been shortlisted in two categories at the Evcom Clarion awards, which celebrate the very best of cause-driven film work.

The film we produced helped launch the Virgin Media O2 and Carers UK partnership, by highlighting the loneliness felt by a shocking 80% of unpaid carers and the difference that connecting them can make.

The nomination will help raise awareness and we’re grateful to our brilliant clients and both the stars on camera and behind it, for helping us bring this uncomfortable reality to a broader audience.

Watch the film here: Virgin Media Carers Network

New client: Lamborghini

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Automobili Lamborghini. Our first film with them celebrates both the 1971 and 2021 iterations of the Lamborghini Countach, while exploring the significance of iconic design with Stephen Bayley, writer, critic, design expert and co-founder of the London Design Museum.

Watch the film here.

CorpComms Magazine Awards

This years CorpComms Magazine Awards gave ‘Best Corporate Campaign’ to Liberty Global for their ‘Powering the UK’s Vital Connections’ campaign.

And we’re really proud to have been a part of it.

Working closely with Liberty’s brilliant in-house team, we produced five films that told the story of the positive impact they are having on communities and businesses across the UK. You can view one of the films here.

PR Week Awards

Thrilled to see that Liberty Global has been nominated for for a PR Week Award in the Public Affairs category, for their ‘Powering the UK’s Vital Connections’ campaign. This was a targeted brand awareness drive aimed at UK politicians, their advisors and people who influence them. We produced all the films in the campaign and you can watch one of our favourites here and read more about the campaign here.

The John Lewis Partnership Plan

Last year, we made a film that introduced The Partnership Plan to all John Lewis Partners. This year, we created two further films to show Partners at Waitrose and John Lewis, just what that plan meant. With two Partners recording the voiceovers from the safety of their own homes, we put together two fun, stylish films that curated the best of their photography and footage to bring the detail of the plan to life.

The films were for internal eyes only, but if you’re a Waitrose or John Lewis customer, you can expect an even better shopping experience in the very near future.

EVCOM Clarion Nomination

We are delighted to be shortlisted for another film for our work with Turn On The Subtitles, this time at the EVCOM Clarion Awards. This nomination means a lot for our team as it was a ‘side of desk’ passion project. When Oli Barrett and Henry Warren told us that the simple act of turning on the subtitles could double the chance of a child becoming good at reading, we knew we had to help by making a film that would persuade broadcasters and parents to ‘Turn On The Subtitles’ by default. The campaign has had some incredible success which you can read about here and you can watch our film here.

Tomorrow, Today

Accenture’s latest research suggests we’re on the brink of a post-pandemic boom. Business confidence is rising, digital transformation is accelerating and opportunities abound. In our one hour live special, three of Accenture’s top executives came together to discuss the state of the nation post-pandemic and post-Brexit. You can watch the highlights film here and the full hour here.

Brand Film Awards!

Sometimes great ideas are right in front you.

And when Oli Barrett and Henry Warren first told us about their ‘Turn on the Subtitles’ campaign to help boost child literacy, its genius was obvious.

Our team produced the animation that helped launch this brilliant initiative, one that’s garnered the support of Stephen Fry and Rachel Riley and persuaded platforms including Netflix, YouTube and Sky to get involved.

Today, we’re delighted to hear that the film has been nominated for a Brand Film Award, but even happier to know that ‘Turn on the Subtitles’ has positively impacted children’s lives for the better.

You can find out more about the fantastic campaign here www.turnonthesubtitles.org and you can watch our film here.

Powering the UK’s Communities

Some people come along and leave a lasting imprint on your mind. And that was certainly the case with Julian Hall who runs Ultra Education. His incredible work helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by giving them an understanding of business and entrepreneurship, which in turn helps develop their communication skills, self esteem and interpersonal skills.

This film is one in a series we made for Liberty Global (parent company of Virgin Media) to show how they are powering the UK’s vital connections. You find out more about Julian’s inspirational work in our film here and see the rest of the series here.

A taste of Burgundy

Will Heslop, a wine specialist at Berry Bros. & Rudd, describes Burgundy as ‘the most seductive wine region’ and having produced the film to launch their 2019 Burgundy En Primeur campaign, we couldn’t agree more.
Enjoy a little taste of this incredible region by watching our film here and you can find out more about the wines here.

We’ve gone Gold!

We are delighted to announce that we have won three Golds and a Silver at the 2020 Evcom London Film Awards for our work with Accenture, Barclays, Condé Nast and McDonald’s. You can watch one of the award-winning films that we produced for Condé Nast here.

The John Lewis Partnership Unveils Five-Year Plan

We were thrilled that the John Lewis Partnership asked us to help them communicate their new, five-year strategic plan to Partners right across their business. With a big ambition to improve lives and create a more sustainable future, purpose is at the heart of the plan; for which all Partners were given the opportunity to contribute ideas. So, who better to tell everyone about it than the Partners themselves?

You’ll have to work with the Partnership to watch the film but you can read more about their exciting plan here.

A Shiny New Animation For Virgin Media!

Having recently refreshed their brand look-and-feel (which now includes a colourful slice of rainbow) the team at Virgin Media gave us a challenge. To create a product-focussed, promotional animation including the new branding, products and even step-by-step instructions.

Here’s the result – a vibrant, punchy mix of 2D and 3D shouting proudly about ‘Trade Up’, a new way customers can upgrade early to get a phone that’s shinier, sooner.

Award Nominations

And now for some good news…we are proud to have been nominated for four EVCOM London Film awards for our work with Accenture, Barclays, Condé Nast and McDonald’s.

Fingers crossed for the awards night!

Brand Film Awards!

We are delighted to have won in the Sustainability category at Campaign’s Brand Film Awards, for our work with McDonald’s. Our series of films was for their Flagship Farmer Program, a sustainability initiative designed to inspire change. You can view one of our winning films here.

Vogue Scandinavia

The 28th edition of Vogue is coming to Scandinavia and to herald this exciting news, we were asked to produce the launch film with Martina Bonnier, the Editor-in-Chief.

Featuring stunning black and white cinematography from Mikael Jansson, the film reflects Martina’s vision for the magazine at a time where fashion is facing tremendous change.

The film is being shown across social media and on the new Vogue Scandinavia website, but you can view it here

Developing Global Leadership During Global Lockdown

COVID-19 has created many challenges in corporate comms. One of Accenture’s was how to communicate the outtakes of their highly regarded, six month Global Leadership Development programme. The programme enables Leaders from across Accenture’s international offices to learn and develop new skills and key insights relating to some of the biggest trends impacting business and our lives today.

Over the last six weeks we’ve been combining user generated footage from nine countries with animation to create six short films that explore fascinating and complex subjects. These have now been launched to an internal, global audience, who can now better understand the challenges around data privacy, AI, climate change and human potential.

#KeepingYouConnected

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Liberty Global’s teams have been working hard to keep people connected to what really matters. We were asked to script, produce and edit this heartfelt film, to give a flavour of all the great things they’ve been doing. You can watch the film here!

FINALISTS!

We are thrilled to announce that our recent series of films for McDonald’s have been nominated for Campaign’s Brand Film Awards in the Sustainability Category.

Shot in Texas, South Dakota and Alberta, these films feature ranchers from the McDonald’s Flagship Farmer Program, which aims to encourage farmer-to-farmer sharing of sustainable practices.

We will have to wait until April to find out if we have won – watch this space! Click here to watch the film!

EVCOM WIN!

We were delighted to win an award at the prestigious EVCOM film awards hosted at the BFI, for our work with Conde Nast. The winning film was an advert that helped launch Vogue Greece across Social and TV channels earlier this year. We were also delighted to be shortlisted for our work with Berry Bros. & Rudd and Barclays in the hotly contested Brand Communication category. You can see our Vogue Greece film here.

McDonald’s Flagship Farmers

We are thrilled to announce our work with McDonald’s on their Flagship Farmer initiative, a farmer-to-farmer sustainability program to help ranchers  producers, farmers and growers share and learn from each other. Our work took us to South Dakota, Calgary and Texas to meet some incredible ranchers and hear how they are helping to look after their land for many generations to come. You can view all the films on the McDonald’s website here and you can learn how Lyle and his son Luke are looking after their prairie in our film here.

Condé Nast

Condé Nast is home to some of the world’s most iconic brands including The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Wired and GQ. So when they asked us to produce the film for their newly launched website this month, we jumped at the chance. You can see it here or on their new website here.

A Better Way of Doing Business

When we won the pitch to produce a film for The John Lewis Partnership earlier this year, we were thrilled that we would be working with the UK’s largest employee-owned business and parent company of two much-loved retail brands – John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners. Our task was to create a film to tell the story of what they do and why, featuring Partners from right across the business. We worked with brilliant clients on this film, but our biggest thanks goes to the Partners who featured in the film…they were all absolute stars! You can view the film here.

EVCOM Film Awards

We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for two awards at this year’s EVCOM Film Awards.  We’ve been shortlisted for our work with Condé Nast, where we produced an advert to herald the launch of Vogue Greece and for our work with Barclays on their high-profile Armed Forces Campaign.

Turn On The Subtitles

What if we told you that you that there was a way to dramatically improve the literacy levels of millions of children by pressing a single button. Sounds too good to be true right? That’s what we thought, but then we got involved with the ‘Turn On The Subtitles’ (TOTS) campaign.

Extensive research across multiple countries has shown that turning on same language subtitles can dramatically improve literacy rates. We are proudly helping to spread the word with this film, because we know this is a change that really can make a difference to millions of lives. Watch the film here.

GVC

GVC is a FTSE 250 entertainment and leisure brand and we are proud to be collaborating with them on their global employer brand proposition. This first film is designed to power their recruitment drive, by showing what it’s like to work in their fast paced and exciting Tech team. You can watch our film here.

VOGUE GREECE

This week Vogue arrived in Greece. We were thrilled to be asked by Condé Nast to produce and direct the commercial to herald the fashion and lifestyle magazine’s launch. The ad has been played on Greek TV, but if you aren’t lucky enough to be there, you can view the film on Social Media channels and here

Adventures of a Wine Buyer

The wines are carefully selected by their experienced wine buying team and we think they might just have the best job in the world. Watch our film to see why…

The American Express app

WE’RE LOVING OUR NEW FILM FOR MCDONALD’S

One of the most famous brands in the world asked us to make a film that would inspire and remind their colleagues across the planet, just how much they’re doing to protect the planet.

McDonald’s are focussing on 6 key areas of their supply chain that will deliver the most impact – beef, chicken, fish, coffee, palm oil and packaging – so our creative solution takes the viewer on a journey through all six, using eye-catching montage animation.

It’s an internal film so if you want to watch it you’ll have to send them your CV and keep your fingers crossed. Or visit http://corporate.mcdonalds.com/mcd/sustainability.html for a taste of what they’re up to.

THE MORGAN STANLEY GARDEN FOR GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL

We’re delighted to hear that Chris Beardshaw has won his sixth gold medal at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, for his design of the The Morgan Stanley Garden for Great Ormond Street Hospital. There can surely be no better permanent home for his latest creation than Great Ormond Street Hospital, where it will provide a much needed sanctuary for families and staff. But as we found out during filming, dismantling it and moving it there is going to be an even bigger challenge than getting it ready for Chelsea.

Good luck Chris, we know you’ll do it and provide more golden moments for some people who couldn’t deserve it more.

Women In Finance, Gadhia Review

We’re a business run by a woman. Over half of our employees are female. And at least one of the men in our office claims to be a feminist. So we’re really proud to have produced a series of films for Virgin Money about opportunities for women in the financial services sector.

Last year The Government invited the challenger bank’s trail-blazing boss, Jayne-Anne Gadhia, to produce a report investigating the lack of senior women in the financial services industry and, critically, what could be done about it.

3,500 interviews later and the Gadhia Review is out revealing ten core findings and three recommendations for businesses, with enlightening insights that will have an impact far beyond the towers of finance.

Our films capture the reaction to the report from some of the industry’s leading female figures, including Jayne-Anne herself.

And to prove we can do serious business and the fun stuff, here’s a still from a music video we made for LinkedIn’s annual sales conference. We had great fun making this internal film but if you want to see it, you’ll have to get a job there.

Earlier this week the National Trust launched an ambitious plan to nurse the natural environment back to health, reverse the alarming decline in wildlife and invest in looking after the nations’s heritage.

You’d expect to find the words ‘Made in China’ on toys or electrical goods, but perhaps not on a bottle of wine…until now.

To find out more about the growing popularity of Chinese wine, watch our latest advert for Berry Bros. & Rudd by clicking the picture.

National Trust: Digital Transformation

We’ve just finished a big project with the National Trust to help them communicate their digital transformation strategy to staff. Our film combined interviews with animated illustration, but sadly since the film is for internal use only, you will have to get a job at the Trust if you want to see it!

From Basingstoke to Bordeaux

It’s been a busy month for all the team at TMM. We’ve been filming up and down the country, visited Spain and Germany, and next week we are off to the vineyards of Bordeaux. We’re also really pleased to welcome a new client, Thomson Reuters.

Virgin Money: A Day in the Life of Richard Branson

We were thrilled to be asked to produce  ‘A day in the life of Richard Branson’ for Virgin Money.  We got behind-the-scenes access to film Richard on his latest visit to all the projects Virgin Money have set up to ‘make everybody better off!’  Being one of, if not the most influential entrepreneur in the world, Richard squeezes more in to one day than most people do in a week, so we had to don our running shoes just to keep up!

National Trust: Beautiful and Useful

This month the National Trust are celebrating all things beautiful and useful and offering people the chance to win a year’s supply of renewable electricity and a home energy audit from their partner Good Energy. We were asked to create two films to launch their competition. Our films feature the handy work of Charis Williams who shows us how everyday objects can be turned into something beautiful and useful. You may never look at your cutlery drawer in the same way again!

Tasting Notes

If you are lucky enough to be jetting off anywhere exotic this year and fly Virgin Atlantic, you will be offered a wine onboard that has carefully been selected for you by Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain’s oldest wine merchant.
We’ve been busy filming a series of films to help passengers choose their wine and although you will have to take a trip to see the whole series, you can take a sneak peak at the white wine choices here.

The Silver Line

We have just finished filming with Esther Rantzen’s wonderful new charity The Silver Line, which is dedicated to the needs of older people across the UK.

We were really touched by the work the volunteers do in helping to make isolated older people feel a little less alone. If you want more information about the work the charity does, do have a look at their website.

Richard Rogers RA: Inside Out

Richard Rogers is one of the most influential architects in the world, responsible for some of the most radical designs of the 20th century, including the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Lloyd’s of London and the Law Courts in Bordeaux. The Royal Academy is currently hosting an exhibition called ‘Inside Out’ which looks at the ideas behind these pioneering buildings. We were asked to produce a film for the event with Pentagram director Marina Willer.

Scream if you want to go faster

If you are building a supersonic car designed to break the sound barrier, you need a communication system that can keep pace with the demands of designing, building and testing it.
So Virgin Media Business has installed a 1GB fibre optic network at BlOOD HOUND SSC’s headquarters, giving the team of engineers the technology they need to share their success and educate the next-generation of scientists across the country. Click on the link to watch the film we made about this exciting project.
